Louisiana: A Global Leader in LNG Exports

LEEA’s member companies are working to create good-paying jobs by investing billions of dollars in Louisiana — all while strengthening the United States as a leader in global trade. LEEA members plan to invest over $60 billion in Louisiana’s economy this decade — directly creating over 20,000 construction jobs, nearly 1,500 good-paying permanent jobs, and helping create reliable markets for Louisiana natural gas.

LEEA educates the public and policy makers on the significant economic and trade benefits associated with exporting liquefied natural gas from the Louisiana coast.

LEEA: Local Projects, Global Impact

From Louisiana, to the United States, to the World.

By the end of this decade, the United States will be one of the three largest exporters of LNG globally, and the vast majority of our LNG exports will flow through Louisiana. In fact, successful final investment decisions and completion of all proposed Louisiana LNG projects would place the state of Louisiana in first place among LNG exporting nations.

American allies in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America will purchase much needed gas from Louisiana export terminals — while helping create jobs, economic opportunity and an expanded tax base in Louisiana.

Just one large scale LNG project built in Louisiana can reduce the U.S. Trade Deficit by up to $15 billion.
