Member companies of the Louisiana Energy Export Association (LEEA) have been closely tracking developments related to maintenance of the Calcasieu River Waterway and have been thoroughly briefed on the proposed Calcasieu-Cameron Navigation District. A properly maintained waterway is crucial to the success of any LNG project proposed along the Calcasieu, and LEEA members agree that steps must be taken to assure that proper maintenance dredging will continue in the future. LEEA members will remain actively engaged as dialogue related to the waterway progresses and will work with local industry, residents, and government entities to achieve a solution that balances the needs of all stakeholders.
